About Us
Mother Sri Lanka is a collaborative effort of the public, non-governmental and the private sectors in the country leveraging on the strengths in each sector with leadership and direction from the President’s Office. Our campaign aims to bring together diverse perspectives in an inclusive manner with empowerment and development as a goal in the long run. We hope that this will serve as a beginning to demystify the ideas about the past and to allow discussions on what can be done for the future to stand up as strong individuals and a nation united across disciplinary and practice lines.
Our Vision
We aim to see the 20 million people in this land hold their heads high in pride as Sri Lankans believing in themselves and their ability to be united under one flag, as one proud nation.
Our Mission
To be a catalyst to generate “Good Citizenry” behavior patterns among Sri Lankans through Spiritual, Educational, Socio-Economical and Cultural development by using the path of patriotism and positive thinking about the Motherland.
We facilitate lasting change by:
- Rekindling pride in being Sri Lankan
- Generating a revolution of faith and optimism in the country
- Inculcating a confident and proactively positive attitude
- To charge every Sri Lankan with positive energy that results in proactive action to contribute to the Nation
We plan to achieve our goals by:
- Conducting activities, programmes, and communication campaigns to build pride in being Sri Lankan and to develop positive thinking about Sri Lanka
- Facilitating grassroot activities that support nation building through the development of professional, physical, and spiritual well-being of all Sri Lankans
- Attracting international resources to help develop Sri Lanka by motivating Sri Lankans and Sri Lankan interest groups overseas
