The Mother Sri Lanka preschool program named “Buds of Patriotism” is a program jointly organized by the Mother Sri Lanka Trust and the Children’s Secretariat of the Ministry of Child Development and Women’s Affairs with the aim of building a patriotic next generation of Sri Lankans. We expect to reach nearly 17,000 preschools covering almost 600,000 toddlers organizing various activities under the guidance of the Early Childhood Care Development officers and Child Right Promotion officers at district level. MSL Schools program was organized with the target to involve 4 million students from national and international schools, drawn from all 25 districts, a uniting force, competing and complimenting in the national effort for reconciliation through creative pursuits. Volunteers are groups drawn from Sri Lankans willing to devote their skills, experience, energy and other resources for the future development of Sri Lanka. They came strong and committed from all corners of the country to give their time and ideas. This group continues to grow and have grouped themselves in to teams which engage in brain-storming sessions, come up with ideas and transform them in to feasible projects. Read More |
