Mother Sri Lanka Pledge
ප්රතිඥාව
……………………………………………………………………(නම) වන මම අභිමානවත් ශ්රී ලාංකිකයෙක්මි. දිවි ඇති තෙක්ම මට මෙලොව ඇති වටිනාම වස්තුව වන මාගේ මාතෘ භූමියට මම ගෞරවාදරය කරමි.
ලොව කොතැනක ජීවත් වුවත් වචනයකින් හෝ ක්රියාවකින් හෝ මාගේ මාතෘ භූමියට අවමන් වන අයුරින් කටයුතු නොකරන අතර එසේ කරන අයෙකු වේ නම් මම මාගේ උපරිම අයුරින් එය වැලැක්වීමට ක්රියා කරමි.
මගේ මාතෘ භූමිය පිළිබඳව කවුරුන් තුළ හෝ අසුබවාදි ආකල්ප ඇත්නම් ඒවා වෙනස් කිරීමටත්, නිරන්තරයෙන් රට පිළිබඳ සුබවාදි ආකල්ප ජනිත කිරීමටත් මම ක්රියා කරමි.
මාගේ මාතෘ භූමියේ ස්වාධීනත්වයට මෙන්ම ජාතික සමගියට හානිකරන අන්දමේ කිසිදු ක්රියාවක පෞද්ගලිකව හෝ කණ්ඩායමක් ලෙස හෝ නොයෙදෙන අතර එවන් අවස්ථාවක් වේ නම් ඊට මම නොපැකිලව එරෙහි වෙමි.
මා වෙනුවෙන් බොහෝ දේ ඉටු කර ඇති මාගේ මාතෘ භූමියට වඩාත් යහපත් අනාගතයක් උදාවනු දැකීම මාගේ එකම පැතුමයි. මේ මොහොතේ සිට මගේ මාතෘ භූමියේ යහපත වෙනුවෙන් මට හැකි උපරිමය කිරීමට මම මෙසේ ප්රතිඥා දෙමි.

Throughout my life I shall love and respect my Motherland which I treasure most on Earth.
Wherever I live, I shall endeavor to my utmost ability to prevent any person who seeks to insult or bring disrepute to my Motherland.
I shall be consistent in my efforts to change any negative attitudes towards my Motherland and also instill more positive attitudes, instead.
I shall not participate individually or collectively to act in a manner that could harm freedom and national unity in my Motherland, and in any such situation shall not hesitate to oppose it.
It is my foremost wish that my Motherland that has given so much to me would see the dawn of a better future. From this moment on I pledge to do of my best for the betterment of my Motherland.
