Mother ஸ்ரீ ලංකා Gampaha Volunteer Group Community Project
A community project organized by the Mother ஸ்ரீ ලංකා Trust’s Gampaha Volunteer Group was held on 27th on June 2010. Mother ஸ்ரீ ලංකා Trust chairman Janaki Kuruppu was the chief guest.
Artificial limbs, arms, crutches, wheel-chairs, to disable soldiers and people, tree plants to schools, Buddha statues to 30 devotees and exercise books to 80 students were also donated. A tree planting campaign and cleaning of the Miriswatta junction were also held.
This project was co-ordinated by Mother ஸ்ரீ ලංකා Gampaha Volunteer Group, Chief Organaiser Lakshman Ariyaratne Co-ordinating Secretary Chandani Ariyaratne and Chairman Ven.Karabewe Seevali thera. This project was sponsored by Dr.Chanaka Dissanayake of Gampaha, Ranjan Senanayake and several others.
Volunteer Program
MSL Volunteers are drawn from among Sri Lankans willing to devote their skills, experience, energy and other resources for the future development of Sri Lanka. They came together from all around the country in response to a call made by MSL. Grouped according to districts, they have formed into teams and generate their own ideas on projects and programmes for implementation. A chairperson and a convener have been appointed to lead the initiatives and their effective implementation in each of the areas.
